The Parish Council currently consists of five Councillors who each have a lead responsibility as shown below on the current list of Councillors. Parish Council Elections of Councillors occur every four years.
All Councillors, on acceptance to the Council, sign a Declaration of Acceptance of Office and complete the Councillors’ Register of Interests. All Councillors are bound by the Council’s Code of Conduct. The Clerk to the Council is employed as the Proper Officer of the Parish Council and is also the main point of contact for residents.
The Council currently has a vacancy for one Parish Councillor:
Anyone who is interested in joining our Council should either contact the Clerk, Jean Lindsell, or speak to one of the current Councillors.
The Annual Council Meeting is held in May and Extraordinary Meetings can occur at any time when an issue arises that needs to be dealt with swiftly.
Notices of all meetings are pinned to the notice board at the western front edge of the recreational ground and posted onto our website.
Meetings are held in the Jubilee Hall and start at 6.30pm. Residents may attend any of these meetings and voice their opinions or raise concern on specific matters.
The Accounting and Reporting year is 1st April to 31st March.
Ordinary Council Meetings are held in July, September, November, January and March.
